Countdown...

So one week left..... Countdown started.
Counting minutes left of my messy life of foreign student. To the point where my new life starts.
Next monday i will be flying home. Not for vacations - for ever.
At least i think so far..... Hehe. Yes, that s my feature - i never know whats gonna be in my head tomorrow and where i will therefore go. After all - i think it s a good quality - it makes life interesting by its unpredictability.
So, i am going home and literally starting new life. Again. Actually mostly from scratch.
Why? Because 2 years absence - it s a long time really. Now that i come back - only my friends and family will be there unchanged. Well, almost..... Job - i don't have any - so have to search for it.... Ahh....It will be tough. But thats what i ve chosen after all - innit? ;)
What i know for sure - what i realised for last 2 years - there is no pace like home for me indeed. I can not leave without my city and without my friends. I am desperately homesick anywhere away, even in Bergen... :))) So am going home! Hurraaaaaaaa!
Am excited!

St.Ives trip

Yesterday i with my greek friend Litsa decided to go explore a bit more of South-West England. We went to St.Ives - little coastal village on the Atlantic coast of Cornwall, 2 hours by train from Plym.
Our journey was just wonderful - the weather is just beautiful these days in here. Its so sunny! - and despite it was a bit chilly - it was great! I got a tan - eventually, first tan after a long and boring winter! :)) Love it.
Anyways, during our trip we actually didn't go very far - the village is so tiny - but very cute. I love these English small coastal towns - with narrow cobbly streets, white houses with every single one having its very own name! This is so cute! With seagulls asking for your pasty. With all this small shops and tea-houses and ice-cream of course! Especially if its cornish. :)
We had a stroll along the beach - while it was still dry - with boats lying on sand waiting to be lifted by water just in 2 hours time. This is amazing - to see this daramatic difference tides show here. They can reach up to 6 meters height, which is a whole lot, especially when it comes to these flat sandy beaches. So water edge, when tide is coming back, just virtually moves with every single wave so that you really have to watch your feet! It so easy to get trapped here - and get wet. :)) And water is not warm at all. Its freezing actually. But this does not stop locals from going surfing, swimming and kids playing in the water, not all the time wearing wetsuites even.... Hardy....
We were sitting on top of the hill sun-bathing and watching the ocean for quite a while. Atlantic ocean. This is magic. For me. I am obsessed with sea, not having the opportunity to see it very often as i leave very far from real sea. I think, coastline of South-West is an invaluable present for me, i am enjoying it almost everyday in Plymouth, and occasionally visit some of the beaches of Cornwall and Devon. They are gorgeous - very flat, miles long, with finest light-yellow sand, and amazingly colored sea water. What else can you ask.....
Ahhhh.....lovely.....
The journey was beautiful.......
Well, enjoy the pictures then! :)
